Garmin Veteran
by Online Shopper, Dec. 3, 2007 - Pros: The Garmin 60CSx is by far the most useful tool/toy I have in my inventory. I am using it on road trips, while bouncing around the woods on my ATV, while hiking, and while geocaching. I am surprised to see how fast and how many satellites it picks up
- Cons: If you plan on doing road trips, don't even order this GPS without also planning to purchase the City Navigator software.
- Comments:
In the past I have used a Garmin II Plus and a Garmin V. It was a difficult decision figuring out which model to purchase but not which brand. Garmin technical support has always treated me well and been able to resolve any issue.. ... - Read full review at Dell

Garmin 60CSx - Good value
by DR505, Sep. 14, 2007 - Pros: Intuitive interface, bright screen, satellite acquisition
- Cons: screen rather small for driving applications
- Recommended: Yes
- Has Owned Product: 12 months
- Comments:
I have been using the Garmin 60CSx for a while now. I use it mostly while hunting in the wilderness. The interface is quite intuitive and the keys are large enough to use with gloves on. The unit is rugged, water resistant, and has rubberized gripping

Expensive but worth it
by chris, Jul. 18, 2007 - Pros: Excellent accuracy, Magnetic compass
- Cons: Having to calibrate compass frequently
- Recommended: Yes
- Has Owned Product: 8 months
- Comments:
I purchased this GPS last October with the original idea of using it for mapping the snowmobile trails in my area. I found this unit to be very good at giving me a accurate track to be uploaded to the Mapsource program. The Garmin maps are not as detaile

Good Quality
by Online Shopper, Jun. 19, 2007 - Pros: Quick warm up time, large screen, quality construction, stores a huge amount of cache waypoints and information, transfer waypoints from computer to device... no more entering information manually.., nice to have a digital compass.
- Cons: You need the backlight to see the screen unless your in direct sunlight, default maps in my Magellan 200 are more complete than in this unit, topo maps shown are not included, routing is useless unless you spend the money for the detailed maps, icons
- Comments:
Overall this is a good quality, accurate, rugged gps system. If you are looking for routing, you will spend as much upgrading this than simply buying a good auto unit. Since this unit is geared for hiking and geocaching, you would think that it would... - Read full review at Dell

- Cons: Maps, and finding maps for it. it comes with a base map which is basically main highways. to get detailed maps you have to buy Garmin Software if you can find it and afford it.
