Modify for best results.
by Mclovin, Feb. 14, 2008- Pros: inexpensive entry-level burr grinder. Indexed grind times
- Cons: Needs modifications, cannot buy new blades
- Has Owned Product: 1 year
- Comments:
Discouraged after attempting to get a fine enough grind for a 25 sec shot of espresso, I took apart the machine, bypassed all the safety switches, and cut out the small stop so I could zero (bottom out the two blades until they touch) out the blades, and...

Disgusted and disappointed
by Online Shopper, Jan. 6, 2008- Pros: nice stainless steel appearance, easy to use, easy to clean
- Cons: broke down after only two weeks. No power to the grinder.
- Has Owned Product: 12 days
- Comments:
I received this coffee grinder as a Christmas present. It worked well at first and then died with no notice after two weeks. Returning to the manufacturer, and paying shipping both ways is a nuisance. More hassle than it is worth. ...

Contains self-destruction device with one year fuse . . .
by MaskedGrammarian, Dec. 29, 2007- Pros: Used only for French Press; worked fine.
- Cons: Died at most one year to the day from first use.
- Has Owned Product: 1 year
- Comments:
Received this as a Christmas gift and used it primarily on drip and French press settings, mid-range and coarse, respectively. Week after Christmas, one year later, it rolled over and died. The lifetime of an appliance should be longer than this for th...

by woodsman, Dec. 28, 2007- Pros: Gound good while it lasted
- Cons: Sent it back under warrantee 3 separate times.

- Comments:
It must be that the finer you grind, the shorter the life of the motor. It is not worth the shipping costs. ...

Inconsistent grind
by pizzle, Dec. 19, 2007- Pros: grinds coffee for many applications well
- Cons: does not grind fine enough for espresso
- Has Owned Product: 3 months
- Comments:
I purchased this grinder for use with my Gaggia espresso machine not realizing it would not grind the coffee fine enough to use in the machine. I am able to grind much finer with a blade grinder, but that defeats the purpose of my purchase. So keep in m...

Good Inexpensive Burr Grinder, much better than blade models
by mcline, Nov. 30, 2007- Pros: Inexpensive, timed grind, easy operation, has held up well
- Cons: Grind is not fine or consistent enough for some espressos.
- Has Owned Product: 2 years
- Comments:
I've used this grinder quite a bit both at home and at work, and take my coffee grinds very seriously.

It's a good product for the price but does not produce enough consistency or fine enough grind for high-end Espresso machines. It works fin...

poor, poor qualtiy
by girlbuilder, Nov. 24, 2007- Pros: when it works, grinds great
- Cons: wont last more than 6 months
- Has Owned Product: 2 months
- Comments:
I am on my FOURTH Cuisinart burr mill. The last one was just replaced by the company less than 2 months ago. The quality is not there. Very cheaply made. If you buy one, don't count on it lasting more than 3 to 4 months. For the price, I do not reco...

Disappointing Grinder
by dana, Mar. 14, 2007- Pros: Attractive stainless steel casing; large capacity
- Cons: uneven grind; messy cleaning!
- Has Owned Product: 3 days
- Comments:
I was so excited to finally buy a burr grinder, having heard how great they are. My regular Krups blade grinder
worked fine but only holds a small amount of beans at one time. So, when this burr grinder went on sale AND I
had an additional...

Inexpensive burr grinder.
by Coffeelover, Nov. 12, 2006- Pros: Stylish, compact, large hopper, removable bin.
- Cons: Cannot be serviced.
- Has Owned Product: 2 years
- Comments:
Purchased based on good experience with several other Cuisinart appliances. This grinder is easy to load and holds about 1/2 pound of beans. Grind selection is simple and involves rotating bean hopper to desired grind. Plastic output bin must be in place...

After struggling with my wife's blade grinder and making a mess, decided a coffee mill was in my near future. So I bought this Cuisinart, I've had good products from them in the past. Everything was okay until I used it in the morning and it woke my wife...
