I got this camera for some specific non-mainstream purposes. 1. photography of flat artwork (50mm compact macro) 2. Panorama photography (10-22mm wide zoom). Canon has two lenses that were well suited to those uses.The biggest deficit of this camera for Panorama work is the small sensor size. It means that the 10-22mm wide zoom is effectively only 16mm at widest. ...

I like the size and weight, and of coure the flexibility of the EF series lenses. I was hoping to use a eye.fi in it, but the CF to SD/SDHC card doesn't seem to work in this camera, so that's a shame. I went out and bought a 266x CF card, and the speed is great! I plan to use it for hobbyist and family photography as well as client website graphics and some stock photography. I expect to be able to convince my Wife to use it in some of her shoots (she is a film-only pro). ...
